StrongFit Boxing

This four-week course includes the instruction and application of boxing movements. Participants are given demonstration and will perform proper boxing stance, proper hand, arm, and head placement, and effective and efficient body movement to avoid and counter punches, dissipate the force from a punch, and optimal motion and position to generate and transfer force for a variety of punches. Set-up, technique, and the application of punches will be taught in the following order; JAB, POWER (CROSS), HOOK, and UPPERCUT. Defensive moves will be taught and incorporated in each class and include the duck, slip, parry, and “u” drill. The instructor will verbally and physically perform all movements while participants engage & mirror the instructor. Repetition of all material covered is an integral element to ensure adequate kinesthetic awareness. At the end of the course, you will be able to sufficiently perform the required movements of boxing safely and effectively. Consequently, you will gain or substantially improve your coordination, balance, quickness, reaction time, aerobic capacity, stamina, muscular endurance, and strength. Plyometric drills are performed at the beginning and end of each class. This course is a great opportunity to improve your HEALTH, FITNESS, AND ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE!
