StrongFit Boxing

This monthly course includes the instruction and application of boxing movements. Participants are given demonstration and will perform proper boxing stance, proper hand, arm, and head placement, and effective and efficient body movement to avoid and counter punches, dissipate the force from a punch, and optimal motion and position to generate and transfer force for a variety of punches. Set-up, technique, and the application of punches will be taught in the following order; JAB, POWER (CROSS), HOOK, and UPPERCUT.  Defensive moves will be taught and incorporated in each class and include the duck, slip, parry, and “u” drill.   At the end of the course, you will be able to sufficiently perform the required movements of boxing safely and effectively and will gain or substantially improve on all aspects of your fitness.
